"The majority owner called me this morning and said he was selling the team and would hopefully have an announcement on that very soon," Centroplex executive director Allen Johnson said.
Season ticket sales dropped from 14,000 to 12,000 for the team last year.
The news isn’t good for the league, either, because experts said that its facing financial troubles as well.
The New Orleans franchise folded in October and sources told the Denver Post that if the league doesn't find financing by Dec. 19, it could be forced to dissolve.
"I think the problem may be larger than just the Orlando Predators. The AFL is going through some changes financially," Johnson said.

**O this poses a very sad day in my life...My Daddy has held season tickets since 1996 when the Orlando Predators originated...I have a newspaper of my brother & I at the game when I was like 11 years old!!!
