Party-Proof Your Diet These easy swaps will battle bulge from now till New Year's.

Family dinner

Whatever the cause—Grandma's "It's only once a year" refrain or gorging to avoid being quizzed by a nosy aunt—our hips tend to grow in proportion to the size of any family gathering. They won't if you choose wisely.

Eat This: Not That:

Mushroom gravy

Cranberry sauce

Per ½ cup: 55 cal, 2 g fat (0 g sat), 6 g carbs, 471 mg sodium, 1 g fiber, 2 g protein

Per ½ cup: 209 cal, 0 fat, 54 g carbs, 40 mg sodium, 1 g fiber, 0 g protein

Cranberry sauce would be a health food—if it weren't loaded with more than four tablespoons of sugar per half cup.

Eat This: Not That:

Sliced ham

Turkey drumstick

Per 3 oz: 139 cal, 7 g fat (2 g sat), 3 g carbs, 1,109 mg sodium, 1 g fiber, 14 g protein

Per drumstick: 416 cal, 13 g fat (4 g sat), 0 g carbs, 196 mg sodium, 0 g fiber, 70 g protein

Say hello to the other white meat (would you believe it has only 70 calories per slice?) and goodbye to that Neanderthal-esque turkey leg.

i say save up for the bad so when your broke you can go to Taco Bell!!! lol

America's Healthiest and Unhealthiest States

America's health is failing. And no one likely knows that better than those in Louisiana.

It lands at the bottom of a list measuring the health of the nation's 50 states. Joining it at the bottom are Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

Vermont was crowned the healthiest state for the second consecutive year. Hawaii, New Hampshire, Minnesota and Utah round out the top five, according to a study published Dec. 3.

Come on America get with the program....

Majority of States Now in Recession

In March, 5 States Were in Recession; Now There are 27 With 14 More at Risk

What started out as a housing problem in a few states has now exploded into a full-fledged recession with a majority of states now in or dangerously close to recession.

Just this weekend, President Bush's top economic advisor used the much-avoided word "recession" to describe the economies in some states.

"We are seeing what I think anyone would characterize as a recession in certain parts of the country," Edward P. Lazear, chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, said on CNN's "Late Edition."

Back in March, Mark Zandi, chief economist and co-founder of Moody's Economy.com, said that only five states were in recession: Arizona, California, Florida, Michigan and Nevada.

Now, he said that 27 states are in recession and another 14 are near recession.

"There's no way around the map. It says the nation is in recession. The recession is coast to coast," Zandi said. "Just a handful of states are expanding at this point. One of the unique features of this downturn is how broad-based it is, regionally."

What happened between March and today?

Orlando Predators Football Team To Be Sold

ORLANDO, Fla. - WESH 2 News has learned that the Orlando Predators, the city's arena football league team, will be sold on Tuesday

"The majority owner called me this morning and said he was selling the team and would hopefully have an announcement on that very soon," Centroplex executive director Allen Johnson said.

Season ticket sales dropped from 14,000 to 12,000 for the team last year.

The news isn’t good for the league, either, because experts said that its facing financial troubles as well.

The New Orleans franchise folded in October and sources told the Denver Post that if the league doesn't find financing by Dec. 19, it could be forced to dissolve.

"I think the problem may be larger than just the Orlando Predators. The AFL is going through some changes financially," Johnson said.

Def...will be doing this tonight!!!

Today's Leo Horoscope:
Dec 08, 2008

When's the last time you used a pen and paper, dear Leo? In this day and age of computers, the keyboard has all but replaced these wonderful tools. In the same way that walking provides much more than fresh air, the kinesthetic value of the rhythmic motion that occurs in writing with a pen is far more soothing and even healing than most realize. Moving your hand across the page can feel good and unlock places within you that aren't always accessed by typing. Try some of this today.

Michelle Obama says she wants the White House to feel full of energy.

And while hanging new drapes isn't high on the Obamas' list of priorities as they prepare to move into the White House, design experts wonder if the first family will use the nation's most famous house as a way to back a serious agenda: going green.

If this doesn't slap me in the face...What Will?

Today's Leo Horoscope:
Dec 03, 2008

Make sure that you are living your life consciously at this time, dear Leo. It could be that you are going through a great deal of denial and you simply refuse to see the truth of the situation. Open your eyes up to the world around you so that you may invite joy and compassion into your life. Don't let yourself be satisfied with superficial interactions that don't really fill you up.

Woo...Hoo....

While googling my new church I came across this Fabulous (new fave word) website. Really only fabulous if you live/work in College Park, FL (best place to live ;)...

Don't Get Me Wrong...

I love the Summer...the Hott weather! Fo Sure & by far my most favorite!!! I love the beach, the pool & the lack of clothes!!! On the other I have NEVER liked the cold before. I hate it! Every part of it! Except maybe that Christmas falls in the season of the cold. But today I figured it out!!! I don't like the cold mostly because here in Florida it is an every other day thing!!! Or an every other week...or whatever Mother Nature decides for this state. I can't tell you how sick I am of having to watch the news to decide if my sleeves are going to be long or not!!! Can't mother nature just decide that Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb are going to always be in the low 60's?? That way I know what to wear w/out watching the news.!!!

I take things from JA...bc she is my inspiration...

New HAIR

So I finally did it...I cut all the dead yucky stuff off! & I think it couldn't look any more FABULOUS!!!! SOOO...much body & health!!! The one thing that made me happiest this weekend...Cutting my hair because my boyfriend is a JERK!!

Today's Leo Horoscope: Dec 01, 2008

Take action on creating a fanciful dream world today, dear Leo. Indeed, much of the activities of the day will be touched with an air of otherworldliness. Although you generally like to keep your feet on the ground, realize that once in a while it is essential to let go and experience other realms of thought in order to gain new perspectives on things. Let your hair down, and go wild tonight.

...going wild tonight will consist of Prison Break, Gossip Girl & One Tree Hill...woo hoo! such a daredevil...!!!!

"I may still not know what I want to be when I grow up, but I do know that someday I want to live in a house filled with my books and travel souvenirs. And the walls that aren’t covered in bookshelves will be covered with photos of my family and friends. When I leave the house I will be going to a job I love, and I’ll return to a person I love. So, that’s the dream I’m working on."- Amber Morley (via frannyandzoey)

Uggghhhh....

Today's Leo Horoscope:
Nov 20, 2008

In the past you may have preferred not to acknowledge your own psychic abilities, dear Leo, but today they could prove impossible to ignore. Visions, premonitions, and telepathic messages from others could be popping into your mind all day. This shouldn't be treated as something strange, but rather you should regard it as a source of inner power. Abilities like this increase your understanding of others as well as yourself.

**alright now some days your horoscope is so far fetched that you have no clue Y you continue to read these things & then other days that horoscope is so dead on that it completely freaks you out!!! take today for instance i open my horoscope and now...now i am completely freaking freaked out! i had this very real...very interactive dream that i woke up from at about 2 am & fell back a sleep to only go back into this dream...this dream that i was pregnant...very much pregnant & J and I were at this outdoor concert at this park and my water broke...so J and i tried to rush through the crowd and we got split up....anyhow, this dream was freakin weird bc of my horoscope & bc i just vomited up my lunch for no reason...i mean this is like a complete mind fuck day & i don't like it...not at all!

10 Ways to Be Happier

How happy are you -- really? If there’s room for improvement, then Gretchen Rubin has some suggestions.

A few years ago, on a morning like any other, I had a sudden realization: I was in danger of wasting my life. As I stared out the rain-spattered window of a New York City bus, I saw that the years were slipping by.“What do I want from life?” I asked myself. “Well…I want to be happy.” I had many reasons to be happy: My husband was the tall, dark, handsome love of my life; we had two delightful girls, ages 1 and 7; I was a writer, living in my favorite city. I had friends; I had my health; I didn’t have to color my hair. But too often I sniped at my husband or the drugstore clerk. I felt dejected after even a minor professional setback. I lost my temper easily. Is that how a happy person would act?I decided on the spot to begin a systematic study of happiness. (A little intense, I know. But that’s the kind of thing that appeals to me.) In the end, I spent a year test-driving the wisdom of the ages, current scientific studies, and tips from popular culture. If I followed all the advice, I wanted to know, would it work?Well, the year is over, and I can say: It did. I made myself happier. And along the way I learned a lot about how to be happier. Here are those lessons.

Why Obama is the new Reagan

I was so happy to find this article & I think that everyone should read it in it's entirity because it is awesome...I will just be posting a little bit...

http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Investing/SuperModels/why-obama-is-the-new-reagan.aspx?page=1

Barack Obama now stands in broad daylight, where skeptical investors in Tokyo, Singapore, Beijing and London can assess the real man instead of the political animal running for election.
I think they will find his intelligence, his oratory, his dedication to public service, his ease at gathering smart advisers, his ability to inspire confidence and his tight management of a brilliant political campaign are all the real deal. As a result, despite his incredibly thin résumé, investors will come to believe he is ready to take on this august job.

It's almost impossible to say with certainty how Obama will govern as these difficulties arise, for there is nothing in his background that will help us judge. We can only pray that he approaches issues in a holistic way -- not reactively but with a grand plan into which each fresh nuance is thoughtfully fit -- much as he conquered the intricacies of the long presidential race.

I'm hopeful Obama will turn out to be as successful as Ronald Reagan in this regard. Reagan was no genius in the classic sense, but he had a thoughtful, humanistic vision that guided his path. And for the most part he had a good economic team that cleaned up the titanic mess of the 1980-81 recession and, after an initial 20% decline in the stock market in his first 20 months, delivered us into a bull market that generally prevailed for 25 years.

*I absolutly have the upmost respect for President Reagan & for Obama to be compared to Reagan makes me feel so much more GREAT about my decision!**Way to go Obama!

From one blog to Another

From NBC's Luke RussertThe two-year journey has come to an end and many young people feel that for the first time in their lives, they're represented by a leader who is one of their own. It's probably not an overstatement to say that the hopes, dreams and aspirations of millions of young people now lie on the shoulders of this 47-year-old senator from Illinois.
My guess is that the first six months of his presidency will be closely watched. Quite frankly, President-elect Obama must deliver or risk alienating the young voters who ultimately propelled him to office by running up big margins in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio and Florida. It has been an historic night.
Now the challenge has begun: an economy in peril, two wars and a broken health care system. It's a challenging agenda -- one that no one would willingly want to inherit. Yet, President-elect Obama will wake up tomorrow morning with those challenges ahead. I think I speak for all Americans in wishing him good luck.

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/11/05/1641647.aspx

My congratulations go out to you AMERICA

WOW! I am so excited to not only be alive during this making of history but also to have had the honor in participating in it as well. Congratulations America on November 4,2008 you proved that America is "The Home of the Brave."

Race was/is never an issue for me but from talking to others & hearing there ignorance when they speak about not electing a very suitable canidate for Presidency because of the color of there skin. Where is the intelligence in that? From now on they will be referred to as ignorant. I know that those ignorant people have the full complete understanding that we were all made the EXACT same way. Didn't your mama ever tell you "Don't judge a book by it's cover"?

I am glad though that Americans listened to the facts & not the gossip. Putting there best foot forward to better ourselves & our other allies around the world.

Congratulations America you made the right choice. And today like everyother day I am very Proud to be an AMERICAN!

In other words get out and vote...

Young people only 15.3% of you have voted so far...

Today's Leo Horoscope: Oct 30, 2008

What a great day for you, dear Leo! You seem to have the innate listening abilities of a therapist or a counselor. Everyone comes to you with their problems, or just to cry on your shoulder. They know that you will listen to them without judgment. Have you ever thought about doing something like this for a living? Perhaps today will make you think about it.

T-Minus 6 Days to Elections

Yes the post title reads "Elections" as in plural. With all the attention that has been placed on our next fast approaching presidential election, I feel that many may have over looked the congressional and senate elections that are happening in many of our states. Remember you are voting between Senator Obama and Senator McCain. Perhaps the senator that you vote for in this election could be running for president in 4 years ;)

Voting is just a week away!!!!!

HUGE ad in USA Today....

UNCERTAIN TIMES REQUIRE A STEADY HAND
Our country faces enormous challenges – a failed war, a crippling deficit, and an economy in crisis. We live in uncertain times, and we need a president with sound judgment and steady leadership.
That’s why millions of Republicans across our country are rejecting the divisive politics of the past.
“We are voting for Barack Obama.”
Because we are serious about getting our government’s long-term finances in order, putting our economy back on track, ending the war in Iraq responsibly, and keeping America safe.
Because Barack Obama is bringing all of us together to reject the Karl Rove school of wedge politics and fundamentally change the way Washington Works
Because even though we’re proud to be Republicans, we are Americans first.
Now is the time for Americans to stand together. Our country faces enormous challenges and we simply cannot afford more of the same.

I would kick his ASS & then divorce Him!!

The most hilarious (and crazypants) news of the day comes straight out of Elizabethton, Tennessee, where a new father has named his newborn daughter Sarah McCain Palin.Without his wife's consent.Mark Ciptak ignored their mutual decision to name her the rather beautiful "Ava Grace," and opted for the more politically charged moniker to show his support for the Republican ticket by secretly registering the name on their baby's birth certificate. As for his wife's reaction?"I don't think she believes me yet," he told the Kingsport Times-News. "It's going to take some more convincing."--Associated PressHuh. I bet. Cause for divorce much? This er, not so minor infraction got us thinking: What could your partner do that was well, quite simply, inexcusable?

Today for the Leo...

Quickie
Someone's ego is going to get in your way, today. They aren't eager to collaborate.
Overview
It's perfectly okay for you to focus on your own issues to the exclusion of all else today. You've got plenty going on inside and need to deal with it all before you can really help anyone else!

And this applies to.....

I picked this for a certain someone and now beginning to realize this applies to us ALL!

Little Girls Can Be Betches TO!

My daughter the one who just turned 5 now thinks that she can do, say & act however she feels like. Yesterday when being picked up from school she wouldn't listen to the teacher when told to go get her bags...she screamed & kicked stomped her feet...screamed at her uncle. Sitting there listening to my Mother tell the story all I could think is who does this little girl think she is? I was going to beat her...I mean not really but I was going to spank her. But I decided that would be the easy way out & I wanted her to suffer for what she had done. I had a conversation with her and explained that I was embarassed by what she had done. Being only 5 she didn't comprehend the concept of being embarassed so I racked my brain for a way to explain this to a 5 year old & this is what I came up with. I asked her how she would feel if while she was playing on the playground at school and all your friends are watching & I came and pulled your skirt up how would you feel. In the end I got my point across. (I think). When we got home I made her go in her room & sitting at her table writing her name over & over again. I didn't let her come out to eat dinner I made her do that in her room by herself. Hopefully she learned her lesson...otherwise next time I just might end up beating her. j/k

My little Girl is no longer a Baby...She's 5

Waking up Saturday morning with a smile on my face was so wonderful. See Hailie Jade turned 5...it's one of those milestones only a mother can understand. I made her breakfast in bed & sat there while she was eating remembering the day she turned one and the baby food I sat in her crib feeding her. So much time has gone by & I have this magnificent little girl who is so smart...smarter than I could even imagine. She tied to the it's my party & i'll cry if I want to attitude...but really does anyone expect any different from her? There isn't a doubt that she is my child. Next thing I know she will be 10 then what do I do?? All I can do is pray that God takes it easy on me when she becomes a teenager.

My Little Girl is no longer a BABY! Do you know how old I feel?

So Confused...

Is he ever going to get it? Ever going to realize that one day I am going to be so over the bullshit that I am going to give up forever with my head held high? Is he? Mess up after mess up after mess up and still I forgive him...we fight, we breakup, we kiss, we makeup...I hate this mess! I love him but I don't know how much more I can seriously take from this bullshit that he keeps involving in my life. Sick of it...stressed over it & almost ready to have it out of my life.

Don't Vote McCain...

Rain Rain go Away!

Good Morning all the luckies out there that read my daily blog. Let me begin by saying I am thankful for the rain...why wouldn't I be we need water to live. But I am not thankful for the construction on 408 that has left holes, bumps and uneven pavement in the asphalt that contain a large amount of rain water that then blends in with the look of the road because it is dark outside and you are trying to keep a consitant 45 mph ; despite the ass holes who think that it is snowing outside and they are going 25 Dicks! It is amazing to me that if you wake up in the morning and realize that it is raining outside you BETTER leave 15 to 20 minutes early not because of the rain but because Fuckers just don't know how to keep there car between the lanes and drive...Anyhow, back to the construction on 408...why haven't they made the road leval isn't that the way that it is suppose to be? It's bad enough that it is raining and dark but now you have F'd up the roads as well. Either you are going to start a project & finish it within a timely basis or....don't start it at all!

In addition tonight is Hailie Jades final soccer game...So Rain Rain please go away! Come again another day!

Can't Believe I am just Finding This

Dear Mr. President

Dear Mr. President Come take a walk with me
Let's pretend we're just two people and You're not better than me
I'd like to ask you some questions if we can speak honestly
What do you feel when you see all the homeless on the street
Who do you pray for at night before you go to sleep
What do you feel when you look in the mirror Are you proud
How do you sleep while the rest of us cry
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye
How do you walk with your head held high
Can you even look me in the eye
And tell me why
Dear Mr. President Were you a lonely boy Are you a lonely boy
How can you say No child is left behind
We're not dumb and we're not blind
They're all sitting in your cells While you pay the road to hell
What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away
And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay
I can only imagine what the first lady has to say
You've come a long way from whiskey and cocaine
How do you sleep while the rest of us cry
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye
How do you walk with your head held high
Can you even look me in the eye
Let me tell you about hard work Minimum wage with a baby on the way
Let me tell you about hard work Rebuilding your house after the bombs took them away
Let me tell you about hard work Building a bed out of a cardboard box
Let me tell you about hard work Hard work Hard work
You don't know nothing about hard work Hard work Hard work Oh
How do you sleep at night How do you walk with your head held high
Dear Mr. President You'd never take a walk with me Would you

I believe...

I believe that everything can get worse...so I won't complain to much because I cannot handle this day getting any worse.

HJ has a fever today of 101 & is out of school. (and last night told me she wants to go live w/ her Dad bc I was making her go to sleep)...CL (dare devil herself) feel down the step at the new house & bumped her head @ 6:30 am. At 8:20 the boyfriend J was calling me asking if we were together? Very disoriented because his head just went through the window of the work truck that was just involved in an accident. I spent all day trying to convience him to go to the hospital. Finally after he tells me that he has been bleeding out of his ear & I stop the paramedic at the gas station does he decide to go to the hospital. FINALLY! (what is with men & being tuff?). He leaves me to go to the house take a shower & go to the ER...here I am trying to call him 15 minutes after he left & he doesn't answer the phone...for an hour & a half...! I am freaking by now...Called R & R and my Dad to see if someone can go by & check on him...finally he calls me back to tell me to calm down he was resting then gets pissed at me because I am a wreck & told him I was fixing to leave work because I was so worried that he had fallen a sleep. Now he's pissed. & I can't help but care so much...maybe i'm better by myself???

Let someone else bask in the spotlight a while. Sing the praises of other people.

Everything comes together and you show people exactly what you can do. It's definitely your time in the spotlight and you eat it up -- though you're good about sharing credit where it's due.

Love:

Take some time today to reflect on how far you've come in your relationship. You can feel proud of what you've achieved so far and things just keep getting better.

M O V I N G !!!!

Moving Sucks! Painting Sucks! Cleaning Sucks! Being Forgotten SUCKS!

All of which I was someway involved in this weekend.

Moved into my own place w/ the excitment barely able to stay within my body I went & picked the key up on my lunch break & began to start cleaning...still haven't stopped. Painted only 2 rooms & I was so sick of it after the first one!

Then the worst part is feeling like I have been forgotten. Everyone knew how excited I was and most people swung by to take a peek & congratualte me...but 2 VERY important people in my life did not. I'm not mad or pissed at them just my feelings are very much hurt.

On the up side...J was an amazing help...I couldn't have done it without him. Wow! I knew that I loved him before but if it is at all possible to be more in love with someone...His dedication to detail and kindness sealed the deal. I am so Glad he was with me this weekend.

I know all the cleaning, painting & moving will somehow look better w/ time...Where did my friends go?

My Daily Horoscope...

Someone knocks your socks off with something they say or do rather late in the day -- and that good impression is the right one! See if you can share your enthusiasm with them soon.

Today you may find yourself impressed by the actions of someone new. Let their positive behavior influence you to pay it forward as well. Do a good deed just for fun. Watch others follow in your example.

Love:
Show your lover how strong and adaptable you are today. A minor problem causes you to change your plans, but you'll handle it so smoothly they'll never notice anything was wrong.

I know...

I know I am a bit late in blogging my thoughts on the Presidential Debate but yesterday I was just so busy trying to tie up the few loose strings before moving.

For sure Obama took yet another one. With even having to spend all of his time defending himself against a very scared McCain, Obama kept his cool. McCain came to this final debate very much unprepared. Lying repeadtly over facts that he obviously didn't research.

I think those who didn't have there mind made up do now...& in my opinion Obama is the right choice for America.

It's the 17Th of PINKtober...

Hope you are wearing your PINK today in support of finding a cure to Breast Cancer...

With the hope that everyone knows already....Tonight is the final presidential debate. Tune those TV's on to watch Obama sweep McCain once again.

With Obama still leading in the polls...this should be an easy win for him tonight. I do believe that America is ready for a change & Obama will give us just that. We can't afford another George Bush. Lets hope everyone tunes in...voting date is just around the corner.

FYI...7-Election results...
Obama 59 %
McCain 41 %

There is no law that says you can't stir things up once in a while! Today, pick a controversial topic and ask someone smart what they think about it. Who knows whether any major drama will erupt or not -- but you will get a charge of out whatever happens. Hearing people's opinions is usually a great way to build your relationship with them, so choose a person to talk to who you want to spend some more time with. Some Green tips...that also save you $MONEY$

All who know me well, know that I am trying to save the environment & so far it is me against the world. The a one woman show...LOL. Now that I am moving into my own place I thought it best to do all the things I can to go green & save me some money. I went to the OUC website and there are amazing ways to save energy & water.

The winning number is . . . 78
To keep cool during summer's heat, set your air conditioning thermostat at 78 degrees. When you leave your house, turn it up a few notches to 85 degrees or higher and plan on a savings of 6-8 percent for each degree you raise the setting. In the winter, set your thermostat at 68 degrees. (Air conditioning and heating account for more than 50 percent of the electric bill!)
Breezy does it
Installing ceiling fans throughout your home will help you stay comfortably cool. In fact, you could raise your thermostat several degrees and not feel the difference. Turn fans off in unoccupied areas.

Casey Anthony To Make First Appearance On Murder, Manslaughter Charges
Casey is now charged with the murder of her daughter Caylee Anthony, 91 days after she first reported her missing.
Casey Anthony was taken to the Orange County jail around 7:00pm Tuesday evening following her indictment on a first-degree murder charge handed up by a grand jury less than an hour earlier. Her latest mug shot looks much like her first three, keeping a straight face without any emotion.
As a mother of 2 beautiful little girls...you don't even wanna know what I think of this woman!

Bottled water has contaminants too, study finds

The study's lab tests on 10 brands of bottled water detected 38 chemicals including bacteria, caffeine, the pain reliever acetaminophen, fertilizer, solvents, plastic-making chemicals and the radioactive element strontium. Though some probably came from tap water that some companies use for their bottled water, other contaminants probably leached from plastic bottles, the researchers said.
"In some cases, it appears bottled water is no less polluted than tap water and, at 1,900 times the cost, consumers should expect better," said Jane Houlihan, an environmental engineer who co-authored the study.

The researchers recommend that people worried about water contaminants drink tap water with a carbon filter.

Batting 1,000 today...

The stars are stacked against me today....

Seriously just think I should get back into bed and sleep until tomorrow in hopes that it will get better. This always makes me think of JA infamous quote "If your Monday was good then your Tuesday is going to suck!" Betch...why did she have to curse me? LOL. Well my Monday was awesome...coming off of a fabulous weekend made it so much better...my little Ladies were doing good...my adult Ladies were doing GREAT so my life was going great! That's 10 minutes for me to get ready then 10 minutes to get the kid ready...who just has no clue wtf is going on. Stopped by my local 7-11 for my every cup counts Obama cup & forgot my money in the car...plus the air is still broken, my car needs oil...the car payment people won't stop calling...EWW>>>I guess tho it can always get worse!

Your Lovescope - Today, October 14, 2008

You dislike days like this, when your loved one seems somewhat cold and distant. Although there may seem to be a wall separating you, it is perhaps best to leave your partner alone to stew. They need to mull a few things over and will back out again to play when they know where they stand. Don't brood yourself! Go out to a movie or spend time with friends.

Mind boggling to me...

Where did Greenland get it's name from?? It is not green at all! Or Ice Land which is warm & has no Ice at all? A driveway??...when you actually Park on it? And a Parkway...when you actually drive on it?

Or a Happy Meal??? F' that! Those kids will NOT be happy when they grow up FAT!

Weekend was Fabulous....

Like I blogged on Friday this girl here couldn't have asked for betta friends...

The weekend started out Fabulous & Ended even more so...

Friday...I played the role of Soccer Mom (which I do GREAT at) we Won 7-6...went to eat at
Chick-fil-a. Which even after 4 months gone from the hell also known as Fastsigns I can't stand to eat cause the JA only ate Chick-fila or...Taco Bell (had it twice this weekend lol) anyhow, I didn't eat...Ladies had a little play time...then home... J came to the game & to eat & with the sexual frustration that I have been feeling...I felt it only right to have some of the S w/ him. It was great...!

Saturday...Got the amazing news first in the AM that I got the house...SOOO....Freaking excited I started jumping up & down like a crazy person crying...while the 4 & 2 year old (who also ride the short bus) stand staring at me thinking what the F is wrong w/ our Mom....?? 2 members of the SBHB club joined me pool side for our weekly Sun Bathing! Love it! Sunblock was put on hold for some Browning Lotion also known as "Soy Sauce" - JA quoted saying "Shit i'd wear Soy Sauce if it's going to make me brown" LOL. Taco Bell for lunch YUMM! CR & I made our way to Cowboys $6 = free beer hello of course 2 ladies who need a drink would end up there...CR needed it more than I so I volunteered for the role as DD & still had a great time. Knocked over about 6 beers all over this poor guy as I tried to give CR a hug. LOLOLOL.

Sunday...Breakfast w/ My girls...I know how I stay skinny those little ones like to eat whatever it is that I have. They have no respect for personal space I swear...But I don't mind bc I know someday soon I will miss it. Picked up the Mini Van, went & signed the lease to my new place, paid the deposit & when I arrived to pick up 2 members of the SBHB club they were taking forever...HJ repeats "Hurry Up Betches" & CL follows...(this continued late into the night...hopefully HJ doesn't repeat it at school...definetly expolsion) we picked up our second round of Taco Bell (the dumb ass' put onions on C burrito even tho I said not to like 5 times) & headed back to my house to pick up our final member & finally headed to the Southern Womens Show. While driving I was VERY surprised to find that one (not going to name names) of the members has NEVER masterbated & the other only started about 3 months ago...Hello am I the only one that started before I had actual Sex?? JA & I are soo...not ashmed about or Mbating...we actually encourage it. I've never been embarassed by it. It really just blew my mind. So we decided as a group that we are going to have an S party...get those girls w/ the times. Seriously...! I don't think I would get through being single w/out mbating.
I loved the Southern Womens Show. Who doesn't love getting FREE stuff?? Watched a fashion show put on by Fire Fighters. HJ got up on stage for a Dance contest! She did wonderful. CR fell in LOVE w/ my ladies & CL is in Love w/ her to...dropped 2 members SBHB off & D & I talked about drinking to much & pucking almost the entire way home...dropped my final member off & then the van that i wanted so keep =( . Had dinner w/ J & back to the house...the toilet clogged...took a shower...had amazing S. TWICE! I mean like Porn S & then makin the LOVE S...made me shake & exploded. I loved it! So the stress reliever I needed...Other members were Mbating. Although I do like Mbating...I like the real thing bettA!

Bush: ‘We can solve this crisis and we will’

WASHINGTON - President George W. Bush said Friday that the U.S. government's financial rescue plan was aggressive enough and big enough to work, but would take time to fully kick in.
"We are a prosperous nation with immense resources and a wide range of tools at our disposal ... We can solve this crisis and we will," Bush said in brief remarks from the White House Rose Garden.
Bush spoke as leaders of the world's leading economies gathered in Washington amid frozen credit markets, panic selling in stock markets and a looming global recession.

Bush noted that major Western economies were working together in an attempt to stabilize markets and end the spreading panic.
"Through these efforts, the world is sending an unmistakable signal. We're in this together and we'll come through this together," Bush said.

2.) We wouldn't be in this economic trouble if we weren't in an Unnecessary war w/ a country for there Oil...when we have our own!

Your Horoscope - Today, October 10, 2008

The lion's roar might not be as powerful today, so don't worry if it seems like no one is paying attention to you, Crystal. The key is to be the listener instead of the talker. Your emotions tend to flow in all directions, and you may not be able to get a grip on them. The harder you clench your fists, the more elusive they will be. Calm yourself down and just let the day take you where it will.

In the end it’s always the good things that matter, not the bad!

peterwknow:cica:noahkai:shesapsycho:stare-at-walls:

You are in this world to love someone. Find that someone and love them until you can’t feel anything anymore. It’s worth the pain. It’s worth the time. It’s worth giving up every piece of dignity you have. Even if it makes you look like a fool. Even if it makes you look stupid in everyone else’s eyes. Don’t ever ever ever listen to what they tell you or what they make you feel. Because in the end, we all go through the same thing. We love and hurt. We love and die. Loving is never really owning. Loving is giving everything you can and trying to give everything you cannot. You must never expect anything in return if you love. Love with all your heart and if he cannot give anything in return, learn to accept that and wait for your love to fade. Never ever hope for love to vanish. Because I tell you, it won’t. When you love someone, it will never go away. It will just fade. There will always be a little piece of your heart that will yearn for him. You cannot make it go away. You have to accept things for what they are and what they are meant to be. Learn to let go and move on. Learn to remember the good things that you’ve shared with him, even if it’s not mutual. Learn to remember the way he smells, the way his eyes look when he’s happy, the way he smiles, the way he laughs, the way he walks, the way he talks, the way he says hello and the way he says good bye. Don’t forget the memories just because he cannot give anything in return. Look back and remember the good things because in the end it’s always the good things that matter, not the bad.Learn to face rejection with dignity and grace. It will make you stronger.

Pedies....

I am all for Pedicures...actually I love them. Just something about getting your feet pampered makes any girl more relaxed than she has been for weeks. But this is a tad bit overboard. I open the News Paper today & in the Style & Trends section (front cover) is a headline story about the newest creation "Fish Pedicures"...let me dare say WTF...They call these fish "Doctor Fish" and they are from Turkey...for 15 minutes you sit w/ clean feet in a bowl of these fish that eat the dead skin off of your feet. The fish use their lips to gently exfoliate the feet....which is usually done w/ pumice stones.

This poses the question w/ all the foot fungus going around from pedicures...how do they sanitize the fish???

I say stick w/ the stones...at least those can be sanitized....

Plastic Bags....

Many critize me for my efforts in going Green... I think of it this way...why not strive to make the Earth cleaner, healthier & better for myself, my children & really everyone. So I try my best at doing all the simple things I can think of. The biggest thing I get made fun of for is the fact that I use reusable bags when I go to the grocery store...here are 6 reasons I just came across for doing such a small thing as using a reusable bag...

1. One reusable bag can hold the same quantity as 3 to 4 filled plastic bags.
2. 12 million barrels of oil are used annually to produce plastic bags in the US alone.
3. The petroleum in 14 plastic bags could fuel an average car 1 mile.
4. The U.S. uses 100 billion bags annually.
5. It takes at least 1,000 years for a plastic bag to break down in the environment.
6. It costs more to recycle a plastic bag that to produce one.

The reusable bags are 99 cents...Do your Part...!

The Crying Game: Dealing With Tears at Work

In a Q&A session with voters the day before a 2008 presidential primary, former White House-hopeful Hillary Clinton got a little choked up during her response to a question. She didn't bawl or wail or even leave the stage to regroup in private. Her eyes watered, she continued to answer the question, and then she moved on to another topic. She handily won the primary the next day.
TV pundits and bloggers couldn't stop talking about her. Not her politics but her "show of emotion." They wondered how people would respond: Was it the end of her campaign? Was it a setback for women? Was it staged to get attention?
Her response, for what it's worth, was that her desire to improve the country kept her going during the longest presidential primary campaign in the history of the United States. Although few high profile politicians shed tears on the campaign trail, did that moment really merit all the hoopla?

"Though I don't think anyone should cry on purpose, a spontaneous cry is only damaging to the person who feels they are weak because they are crying," she says. "It is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of being human."

Read the enitre article here http://msn.careerbuilder.com/custom/msn/careeradvice/viewarticle.aspx?articleid=1660

Particularly this article drew me in because one of my besties J whom I had the pleasure of working with for 4 1/2 years told me that she was crying at her desk. This was the girl that up holds my up most respect not only on a personal leval but a perfessional one also. See I have found myself many times crying at work. All the times that I did that I felt weak or under the men that I work among. When J told me of her insedent it finally hit me...it is not because we are weak it is because we are not only emotional women we are Human. I am glad I found this article because it is good to know that it is not only J & I that have cried at work.

Hot the Cold...

One minute he's hot...talking to me the way I want to be talked to...holding me the way I want to be held...looking into my eyes the way that just makes me melt...the moments that make it so hard for me to walk away to forget about him...

Then the next he is sooo...cold says he is going to call me back and then doesn't, we have plans for dinner & he cancels...tells me he is starting not to care...

So many reasons to not be together but sooooo....many more reasons to be together.

Just so confused...the forgiveness is beginning....

WTF??

Ok so did anyone besides me start throwing stuff at the TV watching "Soccer Mom" speak as a potential Vice President...are you kidding me? She sounded like an Un-Educated 16 year old. "Golly Gee" "Your dog gone right" "You betcha" what image was she trying to create? That of a honkey who you would love to just sit down and fish with???....that is if you could stand her voice that long. Ten times she avoided to answer the question that was asked.....7 times she stated false information regarding Obama/Biden...the lady has no right standing on that stage pretending to be something she is not. She spoke regarding the economic trouble & was shocked when Biden stated that over the last 8 years these were the worst decesions made....she put the State of Alaska in debt up to there eye balls what do you think she is going to do when she is in charge of the United States? Obama/Biden is the way to go...Biden won that one in my eyes by a mile....

I Love Quotes....

Saw this on a Church Billboard & it is very much True...

"He who Angers you, Controls you."

And I heard this one a while back from Randy Pausch the professor who had a world famous speech when he found out he was going to die...

"Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want"

Now if I could just learn to live my life that way....

Heads Up Everyone

So my Momma was in town Sunday - Tuesday and she is an addictive coffee drinker...So Sunday Morning we stopped into 7-11 she grabbed a cup for her coffee & then I decided as a non-coffee drinker that I would get some hott chocolate (love it) because it was under 70 that morning it was necessary...and what do I find...its the 7-Election....where every cup counts. I got the Obama cup of course & have ever AM since then because after all EVERY CUP COUNTS.

(Ja...you know I'm talking to you LOL)

Last Night

I had decided that I was going to try and distance myself from J...and somehow, I found myself calling him & asking him to meet me for dinner AGAIN. I am not sure one minute I don't want to see him & the next I am not able to breathe, my heart is pounding, the tears begin to fall and I long to see him, to touch him, to kiss him. I am so in love with him but at the same time I am so MAD at him...in one second he ruined everything. I tell him that I need my space that I need time to think but then I am texting him or calling him to meet somewhere. I have slept in his shirt every single night since he left & decided not to come back...I had just done laundry that day & somehow it had gotten pushed under the bed and it was the only thing that didn't get washed (it's like God was helping me out), it smells like him still & still my bed is lonely...the only reason I am getting any sleep is thanks to Advil pm & the only way I can stay awake during the day is from Mountain Dew & Vitamins. I am so lost & so lonely...I walk like I'm lost and the only time I feel whole is when I am next to him...

I know this feeling is not going to go away I know that because after everything I am still in love with him. I do know however that being mad at him will go away....

A thought about friends...

As many of you know I am having trouble with the Love of my life...in the past he has f'd up many times but not nearly as bad as what has happened most recently...My head is going in a million different directions do I stay or do I go?? My heart at this point is so confused...It's like my heart won't give up (i've never been a quitter) and my head won't either. I love him truely love him...and many don't even expierience that. Many never find love. I miss the man he was & I think it took this for him to realize that he wants to be with me...that he no longer will hurt me...that he will treat me the way I deserve to be treated.

My bestfriend thinks there should be no questions...she thinks I should just give up...she says she will not support me on this decision...

I was lost...why do I have to choose...and then Carmen told me this....

"Friends don't judge you... They listen and they try to understand and when they don't understand, they support you and walk hand in hand with you so when you fall they can help break that fall.... She'll have to learn to deal with who ever is in your life.. that's choice that only you can make.... no one can or should try and change matters of the heart...."

and I think that sums it all up.....

Wow they hit this one right on the HEAD!

What Do you Do When a So-Called Friend Stabs You in the Back....

Where would we be without our close girlfriends? They make us laugh, keep us sane, and are always rooting for our success. Joy Stevens, who writes for online relationship articles, describes friendship as, "an in-depth relationship combining trust, support, communication, loyalty, understanding, empathy, and intimacy." Most of us would agree her definition hits friendship right on the nose, yet we've all been stung by the betrayal of what was thought to be a loyal girlfriend. And after a so-called friend stabs us in the back, we're left shocked and hurt - usually finding it hard to decide whether to let that feeling go or let it end your friendship.

You can never be any person other than who you are, dear Leo! That's the way it is and you can't change it. Other members of your family may have dreamed of getting free from something, such as a duty or a moral lesson, but these dreams do not apply to you. The dreams you have of being someone else are like phantoms that have come back to haunt you. Simply brush them away with the back of your hand!

Jeremy

So I just got done talking to my fave. Daddy. His name is Jeremy. He reminds me of my Dad... he has gracefully taken on raising his little boy. Doctors appointments, cleaning, cooking, park trips...you name it he does it.

I just wanted to give him a little love & share my appreciation for a Dad like that because there aren't many out there.

So if no one else is proud of you Jeremy I am it takes a good Man to do all you do!

He...

He keeps telling me "it is really starting to hit me now" I just wanna say hey Dummy you're still coming home to my stuff in the bedroom, my clothes in the closet, my girls stuff still in their room...Only I am not there. Just wait til it is all gone...Then it will hit you.

I know that it hasn't hit me yet. This just seems like a vacation from my life that I have lived as normal knowing all along that it wasn't. This is only going to get worse before it gets better.

But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!!

When you have an "I hate my job" day, try this:

On your way home from work, stop at your pharmacy and go to the thermometer section and purchase a rectal thermometer made by Johnson & Johnson.Be very sure you get this brand. When you get home, lock your doors, draw the curtains and disconnect the phone so you will not be disturbed.Change into very comfortable clothing and sit in your faveorite chair. Open the package and remove the thermometer. Now carefully place it on a table or a surface so that it will not become chipped or broken. Now the fun part begins. Take out the literature from the box and read it very carefully. You will notice that in small print there is a statement:"Every rectal thermometer made by Johnson & Johnson is personally tested and THEN SANITIZED."Now close your eyes and repaet out loud five times "I'm glad I do not work in the thermometer quality control department at Johnson & Johnson."HAVE A NICE DAY AND REMEMBER, THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE ELSE WITH A JOB THAT IS MORE OF A PAIN IN THE ASS THAN YOURS.

Today's Leo Horoscope: Sep 19, 2008

If you're feeling irritable and wrung out today, dear Leo, it may be a result of putting far too much pressure on yourself. It might be wise to take a look at the expectations you have of yourself. Consider this: Would you place the same demands on those closest to you? If your answer is no, it's time to revamp your lifestyle to suit the one you're most closest to - yourself.

Marine praised by Bush won't get Medal of Honor

SAN DIEGO - A Marine sergeant singled out by President Bush for throwing his body on a grenade to save his comrades in Iraq will receive the prestigious Navy Cross rather than the nation's highest military award, military officials said.

THE RULE — Certain color combos are forbidden
BREAK IT — When done right, any colors can be worn together. Of course prints can contain numerous hue combinations, but solid blocks of heretofore taboo pairings can also look scads more stylish than a play-it-safe palette. Black/brown, black/blue, even red/pink all work if you keep the tone the same — pastel shades put together, inky colors partnered, neon brights paired up.

***Okay so Jerriann finds this story on MSN & then has the nerve to refernce the piece about White...I mean seriously I have seen the girl where white a handful of times in our 4 year relationship (not lesbian but we are considering...desperate times call for desperate measures) anyhow, this girl mixes & matches colors like crazy...things that I would never ever think about. I have seen her in Green & Pink...Pink & Yellow...Mint Green & Yellow...I am just very happy to know that the girl isn't crazy...just a few years before her time.***

Today's Leo Horoscope: Sep 18, 2008

Consider using tact when speaking today, dear Leo. With this day's energy, it's important that you take the time to think about how your words will affect the person you talk to before speaking. It can be easier than usual to say the wrong thing - especially if you're in the position of telling someone something you think might not go over too well. Be careful to avoid comments that suggest criticism of the person rather than the deed.

**wow that is insightful**

Today's Leo Horoscope: Sep 17, 2008

Today you might be feeling inspired to help others less fortunate than yourself, dear Leo. The opportunity to do some volunteer work, perhaps for a church, charity or other humanitarian organization, could come your way. Or you could decide to throw yourself into an artistic discipline. Either way, you're likely to enjoy yourself immensely, and meet some interesting people in the process. Fundraising might be involved in some way. Have fun!

This is how I see it....

Why is it that "Great Girls" fall for horrible Boys...It came to me when my 4 year old said this boy was chasing her around the play ground trying to pull her pig tails...My 4 year old was blushing and every time we say Hailie Jade's got a boyfriend she gets all red & embarrassed. I realized she likes it. The attention from a boy, good or bad it's still attention.

As adults as Women we still are that little girl on the playground....the one that instead of getting our pig tails pulled it's our emotions instead. We fall in love & consume our lives with that one boy and even when he starts to pull our "Pig Tails" we are still attracted to him.

Don't we deserve better? Better than Cheaters, Liars, Absent, Heart Breakers? Don't we deserve someone who can realize what's right in front of there faces...A great girl!

I think if we as Women realized how strong we are! How beautiful we are! We could walk away from a man who is treating us badly.

The world is a very different place than even when our parents were first married...this day and age it is ok to walk away from a man who does not treat you equal. Women are equal and just as strong as a man. If we realized it we could do wonders with our power. Point is we deserve to be treated with respect, love, honor, density & care.

Remind yourself that for the very first time in history a Women ran for President!

This Lady was Genius....

“Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it is better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring… And when it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I’m already better than them.” - Marylin Monroe

Your level of intuition should be very high right now, dear Leo, as are your powers of manifestation. Today, you need to try to curb your thoughts and only think beautiful things, because you just might find that whatever you think about appears to manifest! Some powerful dreams and visions can open up new lines of intellectual exploration for you that can have a potent effect on your immediate future. Go to it.

How Could You

How could you leave me, when I wasn't their;
I thought that you told me, we were the perfect pair;
How was I to trust you, w/my tender heart;
I should have known that all you'd do, is tear it all apart;
So please forgive me, for what I'm bout to do;
I'm bout to clear you from my mind, so I can start over new;

I used to plan everything, revolving around you;
Now I constantly scream, CAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO

-Riley Bracewell

Today's Leo Horoscope: Sep 15, 2008

You have a kind of innate gift for healing and calming other people in crisis situations, dear Leo. If this isn't already what you do for a living, have you thought about doing something with this natural talent of yours? The positions of the planets, today, may be telling you to think about this in more concrete terms. If you are interested herbal therapy, for example, this might be the perfect time to set up shop!

Goals?

Conceive it, believe it and achieve it is my new fight song. Remember what you see is waht you get. If you can't visualize yourself eventually achieving a particular goal, reword it, change it-until you can actually believe in its ultimate fulfillment.

Hott Soccer Mom

Officially a Soccer Mom....& a hott one at that!

On a happy note my oldest Lady started soccer last night and OMG she is the best! I mean the best on her team. (No it's not my opinion I mean its definetly a fact). Tonight is her first Game & I told her you better get that ball from the other team you get it & you score a goal. She is going to do so great! Ya'll should my car....LOL!

Thin Lines

Wow life is hard...my Daddy never told me how thin the line was between Love & Hate...! I mean it's within minutes! One minute I love him the next minute I am hating him. Why does the damn line have to be so thin???? I just want to run so far away from this situation & never look back because my heart is just hurting so badly.

Until...
